Carly Boyer

Dr. Carly Boyer is a Pennsylvania native and was born and raised about 2 hours north of Harrisburg in a small town called Mifflinburg PA. She attended Lycoming College to complete her undergraduate education, earning a bachelor’s in biology and then went on to attend veterinary school at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate Tennessee. Though she is a new 2024 graduate fresh out of veterinary school, she is no stranger to the veterinary world.

Ever since she can remember, she wanted to be a veterinarian and that dream never changed and only grew. From little on up, she had many small animal companions, from dogs and cats to hamsters, rabbits, chickens, and even a couple goats at home. She also started shadowing veterinary clinics in middle and high school to learn more about the profession. In high school, she also participated in the FFA Veterinary science team, winning first at regionals twice and even placed 4th at states! From there, the FFA facilitated her growth further and allowed her the opportunity to work on a dairy farm after school.

In college, while pursuing her undergraduate degree, she began working for a local veterinary clinic after school as a kennel assistant and veterinary technician assistant where she gained a ton of practical, hands-on experience as well. In the winter of 2019, she found out she was accepted to Lincoln Memorial University’s Veterinary Medicine Program and the rest is history.

Dr. Boyer graduated May 2024 with her DVM degree, is eager to continue building her veterinary experiences at Boiling Springs Animal Hospital and strives to serve as a mediator to strengthen the human-animal bond! She has special interests in physical therapy/rehabilitation medicine as well as preventative care.

When outside the clinic, Dr. Boyer loves spending time with her husband, Brady, her two dogs, Angus and Henry, and her cats, Rue and Poppy. She is also an avid fisherman and loves to hike, camp, kayak, and shoot archery in her spare time.
